Well, this is awkward

So, the Kings and Coyotes had an interesting OT in game 5, which the Kings won to close out the series.  Coyotes players and fans alike were outraged over what was, in their opinion, a missed call on a penalty, less than 20 seconds before the Kings scored the game and series winner that clinched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals against either the Devils or the Rangers.  So anyway, the score was tied 3-3 after 3 periods, which meant free hockey for the Glendale faithful (I know, it sounds weird saying that anybody in Glendale, Arizona, actually cares about hockey).  With about 2 and a half minutes left to play in the first extra period, Kings captain Dustin Brown laid a hit on Coyotes D-man Michal Rozsival.  The Coyotes wanted a penalty for Brown, as it appeared to be a knee-to-knee hit, however there was no call on the ice.  Not too long after, Dustin Penner nailed one home to end the season for the Coyotes.  So, what do you think? Was it clean?  Personally, if I was on the ice, I wouldn’t have made a call. Brown wasn’t taking a stride when he made the hit, so it wasn’t charging.  The elbow that appeared to get Rozsival in the head was down, and after initial contact.  3rd, the fact that the legs got tangled up in the hit was irrelevant to me.  It happens.  On a final note, even if that game had turned out differently, I still think that the Kings would’ve won the series.  They were clearly the superior team, not only throughout the series, but throughout the playoffs.  Also, there just shouldn’t be a hockey team in Arizona.
